Dave McDonald has been formally appointed as the Manager.
In advising Dave of his success Mike von Berg Chairman of the RAR Corporation Board and National President of the RAR Association wrote:
Further to our discussions yesterday I am very pleased to confirm formally your appointment as the RARC National Memorial Walk Manager located at Gallipoli Barracks, Enoggera. We are delighted that you have agreed to accept this position and challenge on a voluntary pro bono basis and very much look forward to your involvement at this elevated level. You have some very good ideas and knowledge and would strongly recommend you pursue some of these initiatives after discussions with Ted Chitham who is our RARC senior representative for the NMW. In addition I would appreciate it very much with any commemorations or even NOK or individuals coming to visit the NMW to remember one of their family or mates that there is a photo taken as we need to get this information on to our facebook page and website through Greg Decker and I would appreciate you liaising with him on this, as our communications secretary. Not enough people know about the NMW and we need to be more prominent in our communications for what is a very special place.
Congratulations and well done, Duty First
Dad’s Army volunteers past and present add their congratulations to Dave and wish him continued success in Keeping the Spirit Alive.
